No. As of August 31, 2026, Polymarket has not announced a token or an airdrop, and has not cancelled one either. The company's CMO said on a podcast that "there will be a token, there will be an airdrop", but no official announcement, date or criteria exist.
What does the public record actually show?
Two things pull in opposite directions. The $POLY trademark filings at the USPTO remain live and maintained, which keeps the token option open. At the same time, Reuters, Bloomberg and CNBC reported in August 2026 that Polymarket is in talks to raise roughly $1 billion at a valuation above $20 billion, with Intercontinental Exchange (the NYSE's parent) as its largest strategic shareholder — a path that points toward an IPO, and an IPO and a broad retail airdrop are structurally in tension.
Is Polymarket activity declining because farmers gave up?
